A Long Journey…… But Desks & Chairs Finally Arrived!

From Sydney Australia to the remote area of Kivori some 150 Kilometres south west along the coast from Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea is a long way.

It was fraught with challenging logistics such as clogged dirt roads during the rainy season but the new School was occupied for the first time early this month (April 2018) with excited children eager to use the new building. Pictures of the children in classes will come soon.

The School was built by Operation Food for Life (OFFL) useing local labour and materials all sourced in PNG. All this was possible with the invaluable assistance of donors large and small.  The Community school will bring major support for the education of hundreds of children in the area.  Currently the OFFL School has nearly 250 students enrolled.
