AUSTRALIAN PATRON

Philip Ruddock is the Australian Patron for Operation Food for Life.

In 2016 Mr. Ruddock retired from the Australian Federal Parliament after serving for 42 years, the second longest Member of Parliament in history. In recognition of his humanitarian efforts, on 8 February 2016 the Hon. Julie Bishop MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs announced the appointment of Mr. Ruddock as Special Envoy for Human Rights. This role has now concluded and on the 9th of September, 2017 Mr Ruddock was elected Mayor of the Hornsby Shire in his home area in the northern part of Sydney.

Operation Food for Life is delighted Mr. Ruddock agreed to continue as our Australian Patron.
