Large 2nd Stage of School Construction Commences

After delays and a truck being bogged on the 150 Kilometre journey from Port Moresby, materials for the foundations and floor supports finally arrived last week at the Kivori Learning Centre.

The large 4 classroom block will add to the original 2 classroom and library/office block completed 2 years ago and will allow further 200 students to transfer from bush constructed classrooms to the purpose-built permanent classrooms.

All materials for construction are sourced in PNG and local experienced labour is employed adding to the value of what is accomplished by Operation Food for Life (OFFL) in PNG.

We thank our generous Donors large and small who have provided the money to make this all possible and to the OFFL team on the ground in PNG, our wonderful volunteer sponsors in Port Moresby and our team in Australia who work together voluntarily to make this possible.
