New School Building ready for use January 2018

After a year of planning and construction by Operation Food for Life, the Early Learning School at Kivori Poi will be occupied this month as the School year commences.

During 2017 the school has been operating as a “Bush School” in temporary structures made of local materials.

Teaching English reading and writing by the dedicated staff at the School prepare children for further education and give them the necessary literacy skills to provide better options for their lives in the future.

In the last few months of construction the permanent school building has been painted and waiting for desks, chairs and other teaching materials collected by Volunteers in the region of Sydney Australia and shipped to Papua New Guinea.

All this has been made possible by the dedication of Volunteers in PNG and Australia and the generous donations provided by our magnificent donors.
