Volunteers recently provided physical, spiritual and emotional support to patients in the People Living with HIV Ward, Port Moresby General Hospital.
Each patient was very appreciative to be given a delicious fresh fruit platter which was enjoyed by each one.
Many patients have no family or friends to support them through this painful journey.
For some patients we are “family”. One they can confide, request prayer, and simply just “be there” for them.
Through visiting our friends, it serves as a reminder we are fulfilling our Mission Statement: Inspired by the Example of Jesus, Operation Food for Life seeks to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support, bringing dignity and hope to the forgotten and the disadvantaged.
